Classical

Faryl is currently a Guildhall Scholar on the postgraduate course at The Guildhall school of Music and Drama, studying with Marilyn Rees. Prior to this, she graduated from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama Undergraduate course with a first-class honours degree.

 

Faryl was given the opportunity by The Felix Mendelssohn Foundation to sing in Leipzig at Mendelssohn-Haus and she also received The Ann Wyburd Prize for her performance of German Lied. 

She has had the opportunity to work with renowned coaches and conductors such as; Sir Thomas Allen CBE and Sir Mark Elder CBE and is also proud to be an ambassador for The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.

 

Faryl has performed in many different opera scenes, playing roles such as Fiordiligi from Mozart's Così fan tutte, Norina from Donizetti's Don Pasqaule, Zdenka from R. Strauss: Arabella and Sophie from R. Strauss: Der Rosenkavalier.

Recent engagements involve performing the role of Berta from Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia for Clonter Opera and becoming a Samling Artist.
Faryl will begin The Guildhall School of Music and Drama opera course in September 2021 
as a Sybil Tutton Opera Award holder, supported by Help Musicians.
